Gross Motor Function Measures Training Day
Date: Wednesday 7 January 2009  /  Fee: £165 (includes GMFM Manual)
Venue:  The Bobath Centre
Course Leader: Virginia Knox MCSP, Bobath Tutor


A training day in using this standardised test, which is validated for use for children
(aged 5 months to 16 years) with cerebral palsy and Down’s syndrome.


Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for paediatric physiotherapists. Some doctors and paediatric occupational therapists may also find it of interest. It is recommended that applicants have previous clinical experience of treating children with cerebral palsy.


Aims & Objectives

· To introduce people to the GMFM including characteristics of the test, test administration and scoring.

· For participants to feel confident to use the test at the end of the course.


Special information
This course involves participants practising administering test items on each other, therefore they should wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing.
  The tuition fee includes the price of the GMFM manual which delegates will receive at the start of the course.
