Refresher Course
for Bobath Trained Therapists


The Refresher Course offers the opportunity to review and update course members understanding of the Bobath concept. Content will include aspects of classification of cerebral palsy, assessment, problem solving and treatment planning from both a theoretical point of view and during hands-on therapy sessions.

Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, who have successfully completed the Basic course on the Bobath approach to the treatment/management of cerebral palsy.

Aim:
To deepen course participants understanding of the Bobath concept, enhance handling skills and promote reflective practice.

Objectives:
Course participants will be able to:

• Effectively analyse child’s clinical picture/problems

• Demonstrate a wide scope of handling skills

• Evaluate their own handling skills and problem solving

• Demonstrate effective clinical reasoning
