The vision of the Bobath Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy is to improve the independence, health and wellbeing of people living with cerebral palsy

By improving the independence, health and wellbeing of a child with cerebral palsy we are also doing the same for those around them.

We do this by providing

  • physiotherapy, occupational and speech & language therapy tailored to a child's individual needs
  • support and advice for parents so that therapy becomes part of a child's daily routine
  • training for therapists, medical professionals and those working with children to improve their skills and knowledge
  • research into the efficacy of treatment and improving service delivery

Why we need your support

  • We receive no direct statutory funding
  • We need around £1,200,000 a year to keep our services running
  • 90% of our costs are fixed (mainly salary costs in line with NHS pay scales)
  • We are a centre of excellence with an international reputation
  • We are a not-for-profit organisation
  • We keep treatment fees as low as possible. Any additional income goes towards improving disabled children's lives either through treatment or training
  • We can treat children for free if they are in acute need and have no funding
  • We treat every patient the same regardless of how they are funded
